NEW!9/23/2007

Dear Friend,
How are you today?
God bless you as you keep us in prayer.

My son Byron2 is in Hong Kong making the runs across the border withHis Word. I just got off the phone with him, and he said he made 10crossings last week. He is helping lead teams of short termers that come tohelp deliver the Bibles to China. This last week he said thegroup from Northern Ireland was there. He got held up by the guards once, but was successful the rest of the trips. They were taking in SundaySchool material all last week. That is especially cool as that is the onlyway kids material gets to Chinese children.

Daughter S____ is in the North of China studying Mandarin, and my sonBen just spent the summer in another part of China with a group that doeshouse church.

Kathy is doing fine with the cancer recovery, but the doctors sure areslow here with getting appointments set!

My team leaves October__. We have quite aschedule planned.

God bless you,
Byron

Dear Friend,

Thank you for your prayers! We are settled in pretty well now and anticipating the fruition of the things being worked on:

If you can partner with us financially for this trip you can send to the address below or donate on our website. There are 4 of us going. The trip will run 8,000 total. We aim to deliver 4,000 copies to our brothers and sisters that do not have the access like we do. That is $2.00 dollars per family reached with the Gospel.

Emails will be sent to the prayer team daily while we are there so you no what is going on and how to pray. We are all one team; the one that goes, the one that prays, and the one that pays. Thanks for joining us!

Checks should be made to MMF
mailed to:
MMF/Bibles
PO Box 390
Sun City, CA 92586

Or you can go to the donate page and select a donate type.

Thanks and God bless you,
Byron and Kathy

We are back in Menifee USA. Our house is in escrow and Naomi is enrolled in school. We have teams planned for October, January, and March.

Kathy will see a doctor soon for a check up; the Dr. is going over her file now. We are attending Revival Christian Fellowship and are blessed to have such a place. We are preparing long term missionaries.

We are looking for volunteers that can help with:

Graphic design of promotional literature pieces
DVD production
Accounting/tax help as it relates to non-profit corp.

We are of course open to you going on a short trip to deliver God?s Word with us. Thank God with us for allowing us to be part of His great work.

Dear Friend,

Praise the Lord! Yesterday went smooth. A couple from Florida had some trouble and had to be turned back to try again, but the rest were good and many delivered. Kathy had her last radiation appointment. We are returning on the 24th of June.

With the Lord's leading and council from others, we have decided to move the ministry forward in this way. Kathy and I and Naomi and Jonathan will move back to Murrieta. I will head up the ministry from there. We will recruit and train teams to go to Asia to spread the Word. I will lead 4 teams personally each year. We would like to have 2 to 4 addition teams that will be led by others.

We will be available to help churches get involved in missions to Asia. We are available to meet with you and share stories and help you decide if you should be involved in missions. We will keep the ministry flat in HK as a base of operations. My sons Byron and Brandon will stay in HK and lead teams. Daughter Sarah will be attending university inside China to study Mandarin Chinese and share the Word.

These are the plans that we believe the Lord is leading us in, so "if He wills we will do this or that." James 4

We covet your prayers, and appreciate the moral, and financial support. We would not be able to do what we do without you doing what you do. Thank you!

God bless you,
Byron

Dear Friend,

Apologies for not updating this page in a while. Much has happened over the last three months. We have had a Bible college team, a group from the Philippines, a team from Revival/the Core-Menifee, CA our home church, and now all six of my kids will be here within a few days. Grandma and her two team mates here also. The Word is going forth and souls are being saved and discipled. We are blessed to be a small part in all that goes on in this great country. My son Byron2 arrives in 11 hours. He has completed his 4 years in the army and will be here for a couple months finding out what is really going on.

Kathy is doing good! PTL! She has one more chemo therapy session in two more weeks. We are still struggling with Insurance company so please keep that in prayer. May will be spent going to get radiation each day and then treatment will be done. Please keep her and us in your prayers

Warren and daughters will be here on the 31st for ten days. Keep this time in prayer and whether to make a trip inside to see certain friends.

God bless and keep the Faith,
Byron and Kathy

Dear Friend,Byron and Kathy's Family
Praise the Lord for His Mercy endures for ever.
Praise the Lord for each day we are given to enjoy this life and to serve Him.
Praise the Lord for our friends and family that make it possible to be here.
Praise the Lord that we may live a victorious Christian life through the indwelling of His Spirit.
Monday the 11th the CCBC team and Charles will be off to give the Word and to have some leadership training in preparation for the rest of the CCBC teams arrival.
Rio and Kristen will watch the kids while Byron and Kathy have their first Chemo-therapy consultation appointment, treatments to start later this week. Also Byron will pick up his driver license.
We have put Kathy's surgeries on our credit card and the chemo will go there also as we are struggling with the insurance company. So far the debt is roughly 29,000 and we expect another 12,000, if all goes well. If you would like to make a special contribution to help with this expense use this button.
Praise the Lord we were donated a 93 Toyota Corolla for a more comfortable way to get Kathy to the Doctor than riding the train.
We are also praying for a ministry van that would be put to wonderful use.
-Pray for Kathy to have an easy time with the Chemo. For healing and recovery and for the Lord to raise her up.
-Pray for No snags with Byron's license so he can drive Kathy to the doctor.
-Pray for the teams ability to deliver the Word and spread the Gospel.

God bless you and keep you close to Him,
Byron and Kathy

Dear Friends and Partners,
Thank you for your prayers for Kathy and for the ministry here.
We have received the first 3 of the 20 something short termers that will be here over the next 2 months.
Kristin, Dan, and Brian have plugged right in and gotten busy. One was hindered on one of their trips today but did not get down and made a second run later. They are enjoying the housing and have jumped right in and cooked some of the meals. A nice improvement with our housing is we are all together and can have some form of daily fellowship. My daughter Sarah is coming from the Philippines on the 17th and bringing 2 team members with her. More will come on the 28th and then more Jan 3rd and the more on the 10th. Until we have a total of 23. All of these Will be gone by Feb 2nd and then we have a team planned from Revival Christian Fellowship - Calvary Chapel Menifee Feb 3rd through the 17th.

Byron and Kathy's Family

Kathy's surgery was on thanksgiving day and she is still in the hospital recovering. Mostly due to a tube that is still in her draining the wound and area of lymph. She should be released by Saturday. The report has come back.
The extra material that was taken out from the breast where the tumor was taken out before came back clear of cancer. This area will need radiation after the Chemotherapy.
3 of the 16 lymph nodes removed were malignant and showed rapid/aggressive type of cancer. The pet-scan showed no other "hot-spots" in her organs beside the 3 lymph nodes. And the other nodes they took out were clear.
So the bad news is she will have an aggressive chemotherapy treatment because of the type cancer.
The good news is it has not spread too far yet.
Please continue to pray for us for:
-healing
-Kathy's and our strength
-children
-perseverance
-attitude
-growing close to the Lord our Redeemer
-Insurance company and finances
Praise God for and pray for Marie and Charles
Our new team member, Rio
And of course the team members carrying out the work we are honored to be here to do.

God bless you all.
Byron and Kathy

Family & Friends,
First of all we want to say "Happy Thanksgiving" to all of you from the States! Thanks so much for taking time at this busy season to open and read our news - may the very richest of the Fathers blessings be experienced by you and be yours now and throughout this holiday season...
Image of Charles & Marie We are doing great over here and have been abundantly blessed to be used to share Dads Word together as a family. The trips are nerve racking but God has been faithful. On every occasion Bethanie falls peacefully asleep in her stroller which makes it so that we can quietly go through. On two occasions Charles has been stopped and asked to open his bags, they ask "what are these?" he answers honestly and they let him through. We have made some new friends that we share God's Word with. Their passion for the Son is astounding and they are really willing to lay it all on the line to get Dads word in. Please pray for our relationship with them to be strengthened and that better communication would be established.
Typically our faith and trust in God is being daily challenged. We are humbled and broken to have our friends and mentors Byron & Kathy facing the trial set before them. As many of you know of Kathy's cancer and are praying for her I challenge you to continue ever more fervently to intercede on her behalf. I personally continue to stand on the promise in my prayers for them that "all things happen for the good to those who Love Him and are called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28
GOD IS GOOD, ALL THE TIME...

As we close we just can't help but declare that the Lord is good; His mercy endures forever. We have so much to be thankful for! Thank you for your prayers and support and for sharing in the work God has called us to. Our prayer for you is for a blessed this Holiday season and focused on the one who created it as you grow in faith and trust in our all-sufficient Father!
Serving Him, Charles & Marie

Dear Friend and Partner,
We just said goodbye to Noel and David.
They were a great help and a joy to work with.
We moved into a new place the day before the first team of the season came. They were troopers and helped us with moving the final stuff and cleaning of apartments.
Over here you don't clean when you leave to get a deposit back. What happens is the landlord lets you in a week early to clean up the last tenants mess. We did cleaning anyway, plus it is just weird to leave your mess even if you want to. We moved into new construction so we also did not have anyone else's mess.
David and Noel made a couple trips a day plus helped around the place. On the fourth day David and Noel, Charles and Byron hopped the midnight train to G____. About 7 hours north.
We arrived early Friday and were met with a van and Michael and a couple locals. They whisked us and our stuff off to the hotel where we spent some time in fellowship and prayer/thanksgiving.
Later that day around noon we went to visit the state church. Spent 3 hours with the head pastor John (68) and 3 assistant pastors. Very good discussion and time of getting to know each other. Same family, different side of ocean. Took a 2 hour break and came back at 7:00pm. Met with same people and about 20 from the church that wanted to sit in on fellowship and testimonies.
Saturday morning did some touring at park. Evening was a home meeting. Three attached apartments with a closed circuit TV system housed the 150 or so crowd. This was a house church that was registered so not under scrutiny.
** PLEASE DESCRIBE THIS IMAGE **
The next day we were able to visit 2 churches in the countryside out of a group of 20.
One in the morning and then a lunch. Then another in the afternoon and a dinner. As usual the food was insisted on us. Between you and me, I am not here for the food, but when it is good, it is really good. And this was good.
There was some fried pork in some type of batter made from rice powder or something that was just melt in your mouth. Probably killed our cholesterol but ....
Caught the midnight train back and the boys went back to work that same Monday. Work continued through that weekend and here we are.
Praise the Lord. The report from our contact was that the people were really blessed by our visit. Praise the Lord. We were really blessed to have gone.
Please see David and Noel for stories.
Just one brief one. So on one run David had to put his bag on the scanner, not good, but then a kid ran up and jumped on and went through the scanner. Now that takes the cake for distraction stories, can you imagine the ruckus?

Kathy had a tumor removed that was cancer. She is returning to the states on Nov. 5th to have treatment. I will stay here with the 2 little ones until she returns.

God bless you and please keep Kathy in prayer.

Hello Friend,

Charles and Marie and family have arrived and are settled in.

Peace to you,

Byron and Kathy

Hello Friend,
Thank you for continuing to pray for this ministry.
We have made some good progress on acquiring housing for the next year. The Lord has led us to a perfect village location on a jungle mountainside looking toward the north.
There are 3 flats for 2 families and short termers. We sign the lease and pay the rent for the year. They gave us a discount and it is a new building but they require the year's rent in advance since we are "foreigners". Please keep this in prayer as it brings our emergency reserves way down.

God bless you and look forward to seeing a bunch of you over here...

Dear Friend,

We arrived back home 48 hours ago. We are fine and the flight was good. We took the overnight flight so it was dark the entire ride. Our kids slept well most of the time. We had friends meet us at the airport, and they helped us with our luggage and kids on the double-decker bus ride home.

Thanks for keeping us in prayer. We have already started the house hunt. We are looking for a bigger place that will hold our family, Charles and Marie's family, and also short term teams of 8 people.

Charles and Marie will be joining us on the 28th. Please keep them in prayer as they continue to work on raising their financial and prayer support team.

God Bless,
Byron and Kathy

Dear Friend,
We are quickly closing in on our departure date, one week from tonight, Tuesday the 5th of September.

Please keep us in prayer regarding the following issues:

As you know I have not been one to harp on money, but I had a thought. We have over 390 people on our prayer chain just through emails. Praise the Lord as prayer does make things happen, and it moves the heart of God.If one fourth, or 100 people on the email list, signed up for the 25 dollar a month automatic support option on the donations page, we would have full funding for another family in the ministry, and it would not be to great a burden on any one individual.Well, that was my thought. Please send me an email and let me know what you think. My email address is on the contact page.

Love and God bless,
Byron and Kathy

8/11/2006 - Thanks to all of you that have been with us through the years. Thanks to you that joined us last year for our first year as "full timers", and thanks to you that have joined us over this summer in preparation for this next year.

We are coming to the end of our time spreading the word here and the beginning of our time spreading THE WORD over there (Asia).

-We look forward to staying in touch with you via email and the website to keep you updated on praise and prayer issues and we know you are with us in spirit.

-We look forward to seeing all of you in HK that come out physically to help give the Word to Asia. First team is October. Contact David at wordforasia2005@yahoo.com for more information.

-Thanks to all our financial supporters from last year. This year we are bringing another family, Charles and Marie, on board. Our two families are scheduled to depart at the end of this month. If you are planning on partnering with us financially this next year, please send us an email as we are working out our budget. We have less than 3 weeks to go and need to know what we have to work with.

This should be a great year and we are looking forward to reaching thousands with The Word of God and seeing what He is going to do in all of our lives.

God Bless you,
Byron and Kathy
